In the wake of apprehension of cyber warfare and data security and privacy issues resulting into banning Chinese apps especially CamScanner we need a Swadeshi (India made app). That lacuna has been filled up......Great initiative .....especially non-collection of one's personally identifiable information ....eye-opener for every welfare organisation of a welfare state....I have installed..

The SelfScan does not capture any personal data of the user. No cookies, no background data collection. Its design policy is privacy centric.
Scanning is done inside user's own device without sending it to the server.
Multi-page document scan supported.
OCR support is presently for English. We are committed to bring it for Bengali, Hindi and other languages too. Due to design policy no data is sent to server even for OCR, hence all processing is done at your device. This poses many challenges in improving the OCT of handwritten text. But we are working on it and hope to pleasantly surprise you in next version.
How cool it would be to click a visiting card and get its content as contact in your mobile phone! We are working on it with limited success. Again our app design policy forbids us to transfer data to server. Hence we are trying to create the magic on your phone itself ! Hope to surely surprise you with this feature in next versions!!
Sort/ shuffle multiple scanned pages - Add/ remove pages to document any time.
Saved documents can also be edited and searched by SelfScan.
Auto-crop facility is available.
Auto edge detection is a major feature of this app.
Options for selecting default scanning mode out of available modes.

Users can set image quality as per his/her requirement.
When a document is scanned to share with someone and the user forgets to save the document, the document will automatically be saved (In this case the user needs to activate this facility from the Settings, by default it is active).
Protection of important document with password (to be available shortly).
